Salt Lake City, UT – Beehive Science and Technology Academy was ranked as the number one Utah high school by U.S. News & World Report for their annual list. This is the fifth straight year the school has retained the number one Utah ranking from U.S. News & World Report. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.
According to U.S. News, the 2025 report ranked 17,901 nationally ranked schools and 162 schools ranked in Utah. The report’s overview stated that Beehive Science and Technology Academy (BSTA) students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at BSTA is 100%. The total minority enrollment is 44%, and 23% of students are economically disadvantaged. “A great high school educates all of its students from different social and economic backgrounds, exposing them to challenging coursework on the path to graduation. The highest ranked U.S. public schools in U.S. News & World Report’s 2025-2026 Best High Schools rankings are those whose students demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math, reading and science state assessments, earned qualifying scores on an array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.”
Hanifi Oguz, Beehive Academy Executive Director said, “We are extremely proud to receive this number one Utah ranking for the fifth straight year. A lot of schools included in these rankings are associated with a college, or college credit-based enrollment, and they are very selective on who they accept while most public and charter schools are required to maintain open enrollment to everyone. We embrace this opportunity and recognize how the diverse and multicultural society of our school community provides students with a solid foundation to achieve academic excellence and personal skills. Our students come from diverse backgrounds and many parts of the world, bringing their unique experiences to Beehive, where they learn with a strong focus on STEM.”
