Tarik Guney
Tarik Guney is a Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft with more than 17 years in technology leadership, having previously held senior engineering roles at Vivint, Adobe, and Motorola Solutions. He is the published author of Hands-on With Go and an active open-source contributor known for mentoring engineers and building high-performing teams. A strong advocate for STEM workforce development and a Beehive parent, he has served on the board since 2018.
Marci Houseman
Marci Houseman is an education specialist with more than 20 years of K-12 experience across the school, district, and state levels. A former Title I elementary school principal, she has led school turnaround initiatives and statewide literacy programs and currently serves on the Sandy City Council. She joined the Beehive board in 2022.
Davron Mukhabbatov
Davron Mukhabbatov is a senior data analyst at Microsoft with a background in public sector finance and budget management, having previously served as a Budget Analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. His expertise in economics, finance, and project administration supports the board’s oversight of school budgeting, compliance, and data-driven decision making. He joined the Beehive board in 2020.
Dr. Ahmet Yavuz
Dr. Ahmet Yavuz is a data scientist at a Utah biotech startup and holds a Ph.D. in Genetics. A former charter school educator and Director of Science Curriculum, he brings deep experience in K-12 STEM education, academic research, and data science to the board’s academic strategy work. He joined the Beehive board in 2022.
Sahana Kargi
Sahana Kargi is a Beehive Academy graduate (Class of 2019) pursuing a triple major in Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Analysis, and Computer Science at the University of Utah, where she is an Eccles Scholar. She has completed data analytics internships at Zions Bank and is a Congressional Award Silver Medalist and NCWIT Award winner. She represents the alumni voice and STEM career pipeline on the board, which she joined in 2025.
