CMLP

CMLP (College Leadership and Mentorship Program)

A unique program in high school is the College Leadership and Mentorship Program (CMLP). In this program, 5-10 students work with mentor teachers to prepare for their future by studying towards ACT, by participating in leadership activities and completing goals towards the Congressional Award (www.congressionalaward.org). To achieve this award they need to meet goals in personal development, public volunteer service, physical fitness and expedition/exploration. Most students stay in this program from 9th through 11th grade to achieve the different levels of Congressional Award. Another aspect of the CMLP program is to increase exposure to colleges, businesses and the industry. Over the years, CMLP students had the opportunity to visit many universities and businesses.
