BEEHIVE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY OFFERS STUDENTS DIVERSE EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITES

Salt Lake City, UT – Beehive Science and Technology Academy, recently ranked as the number one Utah public high school by U.S. News & World Report for the fifth straight year, has been recognized for excellence performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college. Beehive Academy provides a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) focused curriculum and well-rounded programs designed to offer students a solid foundation in humanities and social science with a variety of after school clubs for both elementary and secondary ages. 

 

     Elementary clubs include Lego programs, Zoology, Book Club, AI (grades 4-5), Music, Drama, art, movies, board games, STEM bins, Globe Trekkers, Zumba, Interior Design and more. Secondary programs include Competitive Clubs, Student Interest Clubs in arts, sports, games, world cultures, drama, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Makerspace, Stock Market Club, National Honor Society Model United Nations, Technology Student Association (TSA), Girls Who Code, and Cyber Patriot clubs to highlight a few.      Some award-winning club recognitions were recently given to the Beehive Academy FIRST Technical Challenge (FTC) team, comprised of students aged 14 -18 years, and the Beehive Academy FIRST Lego League (FLL) team, students 9 – 14 years. They received multiple awards in the 2025 state competitions. In the FIRST competition, the FTC team was awarded first place in the FIRST Tech Challenge Inspire Award (Top Judged Robotics Award) and the Winning Alliance Captain Award (Top Robot Game Achievement). They were also recognized for topping the State Robot Game High Score the last four times it was exceeded in competition. The FLL team won at the state level for the Champion’s Award (Top Judged Robotics Award). Beehive Academy students were also recognized in a variety of categories at the 2025 HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) State Conference where students demonstrated excellence and passion for the health sciences, earning impressive placements and showcasing their skills on a statewide stage. 

 

     Located at 2165 East 9400 South in Sandy, UT, Beehive Science and Technology Academy is a non-profit, tuition-free, K – 12 public charter school established in 2005. The school’s success is reflected in the institution’s growth, graduation rate, and increasing operating budget, which is directly tied to enrollment that has grown from 315 to currently 920 students.
