Hanifi Oguz — Executive Director
Hanifi Oguz has served as Executive Director of Beehive Science & Technology Academy since 2011, leading the school to recognition as a top-ranked public high school in Utah. With more than 28 years in education, he has founded and led schools across South Asia and the United States and guided Beehive to Platinum STEM Designation and Apple Distinguished School status. He holds M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and a School Leadership and Management Certificate from Harvard.

Halis Kablan — Secondary School Principal
Halis Kablan has served as Secondary School Principal since 2022 and has been with Beehive since 2007, bringing more than 22 years of experience in education. He has previously held roles as Science Teacher, Robotics Coach, STEM Coordinator, Assessment Director, Curriculum Director, and Assistant Principal, leading the school’s robotics and STEM programs to state and national recognition. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Middle East Technical University, an M.A. in Teacher Education from Bilkent University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Utah.

Vickie Peterson — Elementary School Principal
Vickie Peterson has served as Vice Principal for Secondary and Elementary School Principal since 2018. She brings more than 21 years of K-12 education leadership experience. Her prior roles include Charter School Board Member, High School Principal, Charter School Director, and Assistant Director, with particular expertise in student information systems and school governance. She holds a B.A. and an M.A. in Educational Leadership and has completed Harvard’s School Leadership and Management Program.
