The Hope Squad is a student group where all members are nominated by other students in the school. Those who are nominated to the Squad will spend time working with their school counselor on educating themselves regarding suicide and how to prevent it. Lessons will include everything from the red flag warning signs of suicide risk to self-care and other prevention methods.

The Hope Squad operates under the following mandate: “Our Goal is to prevent suicide through public awareness and education, reduce stigma and serve as a resource to those touched by suicide.”

Through their experiences with Hope Squad, members can assist students struggling, whether during a single bad day or with longer-running issues.
