NEWSWEEK RANKS BEEHIVE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY AS ONE OF THE NATION’S TOP 5,000 STEM SCHOOLS

Sandy, Utah—Newsweek has ranked the Sandy-based charter school, Beehive Science and Technology Academy, as one of America’s top 5,000 STEM high schools for 2020.  According to Newsweek, over 30,000 high schools from across the nation were analyzed over a three-year period to determine the rankings.  Beehive ranked as number 1,914 among the 5,000 selected schools.

     Beehive currently serves students in grades 6 through 12.  The school was recently approved by the Utah State Charter School board to expand its offerings to includes grades kindergarten through 5 in the next two years. 

     In October 2019, Beehive was recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2019-2022.  The school was previously recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2017–2019.  Beehive is located at 830 E. 9400 S. in Sandy.
