BEEHIVE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL ROBOTICS TEAM CAPTURES AWARDS IN CASPER, WYO.

 

Casper, Wyo.—Beehive Science and Technology Academy’s high school Robotics Team captured third place in the First Tech Challenge (FTC) Wyoming Championship held in Casper, Wyo. Feb. 14 and 15.

     Beehive’s team took third place in the qualification matches and played in the semi-finals and final.  In addition, the team won second place overall and won the Collins Aerospace Innovate Award and the Finalist Alliance Award.

     Beehive team members include: ninth graders, Adilee Dake, Nicolas Oakeson; tenth graders Aarav Singh, Anthony Carlson, Asim Kablan; eleventh graders Braxton Dake, Brinkley Curry, Joshua Rodriguez.  The team’s coach is Royd Nelson.

     The team’s next competition will be the FTC Utah Championship to be held at Weber State University on Feb. 22.
