Salt Lake City, UT – Beehive Science and Technology Academy announced today that it earned Cognia® School Accreditation and Cognia® STEM Accreditation. According to the organization, “earning accreditation from the Cognia Global Accreditation Commission means the school meets Cognia Performance Standards and maintains a commitment to continuous improvement. Schools in good standing can maintain their accreditation for a six-year term.”
Dr. Mark A. Elgart, president and CEO of Cognia, stated, “Cognia Accreditation is a rigorous process that focuses the entire school and its community on the primary goal of ensuring all students can flourish in engaging and equitable learning environments. We commend Beehive Science and Technology Academy for meeting high standards and making progress on key indicators that impact student learning.” Cognia is a nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and education service providers.
Beehive Science and Technology Academy was also ranked first within Utah from U.S. News & World Report which stated Beehive Academy received the ranking based on students having the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® coursework and exams. The AP® participation rate at Beehive Science and Technology Academy is 100%. The total minority enrollment is 44%, and 23% of students are economically disadvantaged. Beehive Science and Technology Academy is ranked #547 in the National Rankings. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.
