BEEHIVE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY ACADEMY STUDENTS CAPTURE THIRD PLACE CHAMPION’S AWARD AT THE

UTAH STATE FIRST LEGO LEAGUE COMPETITION

Ogden—Two Beehive Science and Technology Academy students were on the team that captured the third place Champions Award at the Utah state FIRST Lego League competition held at Weber State University on Feb. 1.

     Beehive’s Nes’et Kablan and Kassie Holt were part of the Blue Bears on Stairs team that won the third-place award.  Other team members included Anya Brooks (Mountain Jordan Middle), Kaitlyn Bunnel (Indian Hills Middle), Quinn Bunnell (Indian Hills Middle) and Sage Drennan (Alta View Elementary).  Annie Drennan and Ben Holt coached the team.

     The FIRST Lego League is an international robotics competition for students in grades 4 through 8.  FIRST is an acronym for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.
